CERN consists of 44 research stations, among which there are 38 terrestrial stations. The 38 terrestrial stations represent 6 types of ecosystem, which are agriculture (15 stations), forest (12 stations), grassland (2 stations), desert (6 stations), marshland (2 stations) and urban (1 station) ecosystems.
